Linear expansion coefficient =8.6 * 10-6℃ (0-100℃), specific heat =0.612j/g·℃.The elastic modulus of titanium alloy is low.The elastic modulus E of Gr5 =110GPa, which is about 1/2 of steel, so it is easy to produce deformation in the processing of titanium alloy.Its Poisson's ratio is 0.34.The surface modification of Gr5 (TI-6al-4V) and Gr6 (Ti-5al-2.5SN) titanium alloy was carried out by two injection schemes.
The test results showed that the micro-hardness of titanium alloy was improved after ion implantation, the sliding friction coefficient was significantly reduced, and the wear resistance was effectively improved.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis was performed on the injected and uninjected samples to investigate the modification mechanism, and satisfactory results were obtained.
